They won't want to wait until 2025 for a 1st. They also probably don't want to take the contract of Joseph, but stranger things have happened (Granlund to Pittsburgh).
Ottawa's only real avenue to acquiring a star goalie like Hellebuyck would be to trade Debrincat for a 1st in the 2023 draft, and use that as the main piece to get a goalie.
He will go for a 1st and then a handful of B+C assets. Basically the same as what every other star has gone for the last year or so.
Mandolese and Boucher both have no value. Maybe there might be a team or two who would give up a 3rd in 2045 for Boucher just because of his unique skill set, but he is not a top trade chip. He is a perfect throw in for a bigger trade where perception management is required, because most fans don't follow it as closely as people on a cap themed website, so an 11th overall pick from two years prior will look like more than just a throw in..
Let's say Debrincat goes to Detroit for the 17th pick and some other stuff, those are probably the pieces needed to acquire a starting goalie.
