I see no reason why Detroit would reject this trade. Honestly if I were Ottawa I’d want someone with more potential like Soderblom in veleno’s place but if you like veleno more then so be it.

Don't think Soderblom would be apart of the trade. Think Berggren is the only guy that falls under that umbrella and would be available.

Plus, they would replace the 2nd; not a 3rd.

I don't think I'd do Soderblom, but I also wouldn't want to send Veleno. The Wings center depth in the pipeline is so thin, they have Kasper as the only guaranteed NHL center in the prospect pool. If they were able to get a Carlsson or Smith in the draft I'd be more open to moving Veleno, I would be more willing to move a wing or defensive option before Veleno.
