In the last 10 years there have been 3 offer sheets that have been signed. Ryan O'Reilly in 2013, which was matched, the Habs trying to grab Aho in 2019, which was matched, and then the Canes retaliating and grabbing KK from the Habs in 2021, an offer sheet that never happens if not for the attempt on Aho. 3 offer sheets in 10 years with only one being successful.

Since 2000, there have been a total of 10 signed offer sheets with only 2 being successful. That is over 23 years.

Since 1986, when the first offer sheet was signed, there have been a total of 42 signed offer sheets and 1 was dropped, 1 was invalidated and only 14 were not matched. That is over 37 years.

So excuse me for not taking the childish offer sheet threats seriously.
