If Nashville were to trade saros and i would asume they wont since they were pretty good after TDL, if they are going for a "getting younger" type year and adding prospects and letting younger guys on the roster grow like adding upl indicates: 1 olofsson wouldnt be part of the deal unless they flip him directly. 2 the package is too small, the prospect is gonna have to me be savoie/kulich. this is one of the 3 most valuable goalies for what he provides in correlation to cap hit, also have term.

i love the type of addition tho, as well as sissons even though i think he wouldnt be the 3C, whoever is left from the deal of Savoie/Kulich can battle it out with Mittelstadt for it since their upside is higher.
dont see the need to add lorentz, see above.

instead of buying out Comrie, wave him and keep as nr 3 or just lose him to waivers. both better situations than buyout.

think mayfield would be great with power, but that guy will get more term than 3 years.

Goalies don't cost that much and he has two years left before UFA. When did a goaltender return Kulich/Savoie + #13 in a strong draft? I don't remember that. Ostlund is a good first round prospect. I think it's a fair deal.

I didn't buying Comrie, he's in Rochester.

I added Lorentz since Girgensons and Jost are gone, so it makes sense to me.

Mayfield's projected contract is 3.75M for 3 years, I've seen this already in two different sources.

That doesn't convince NSH to trade Saros. Wingers aren't a priority for NSH - they have several prospects with more upside than Östlund. Olofsson and UPL have less value to them than Sissons and the pick.

You need more quality to the Nash trade. Love the Mayfield signing. Jost will be back. Rfa and Management loves his game. Johnson will be in the running for 3rd pair D next year with Joki or Lyb

i know that goalies don't generally fetch that price, but when have a truly elite goalie with a fantastic cap hit ever been traded?
Saros has basicly for the last couple of seasons carried nashvilles ass to the playoffs. if they aren't blown away with a great offer, he ain't getting traded. that's why the price is too little.

I know this and I'm sure I made a very good offer, if you don't agree, no problem.

Which is exactly why they will keep him barring an overpayment. He's worth more to the team than any mediocre trade

NSH declines, blow our socks off with an offer or we'll keep Saros. I don't see why we would move him unless we receive an offer that we cannot refuse. Whether you want to actually pay for him or not is another story but just because you don't doesn't mean we'll sell at a discount.

Players on the other team's untouchable list do, regardless of what position they play.

You're not offering much that would convince NSH to let Saros go. The 1st is nice, but it's not enough on it's own. As I mentioned already, wing prospects aren't a priority for NSH. They already have better ones than Östlund (Kemell, Tomasino, Evangelista, L'Heureux). Olofsson's an overpaid rental who has more flaws than plusses. UPL is not good.

I don't understand why you rate Östlund so low, he's a great prospect picked in the middle of the first round. Adams stole the last draft and some had Östlund close to the top 10. For example, I wouldn't trade Östlund in a package for Hellebuyck because he has one year left. So you and I have a completely different assessment of Ostlund. We don't know how GM thinks. Olofsson is basically just a filler in the deal, but the guy still has 28 goals and can help out at the PP. I think this is a good value, it's just that there is a clear underestimation of Ostlund.

I have to admit, I've been confusing Östlund with Rosen (who I'm not a fan of). Sorry, it's early and my coffee hasn't kicked in yet. I haven't seen much of Östlund, so I don't have an informed opinion of him. The lack of size, is a bit of a concern, and his stats don't jump off the page but I haven't really watched him play.

Even with that in mind, I don't see this package getting it done. Saros isn't being shopped. I don't see the 1st and Östlund changing Trotz's mind about that. I wouldn't give up Sissons for Olofosson, nor a 4th for UPL.

I think östlund is great, fantastic pick but he is clearly in my eyes their 3rd best prospect and if im dealing a star no matter the position i want a potential star back. I view him as a potential great nr 2C. Olofsson is a upcomning UFA and were valuewise it's about the level i could see them trading off their roster it's not the team control or position that nsh wants.

I like the Lorentz add, he was solid w/ SJ and can play LW or C in a pinch, like Z, but he's cheaper than Z.
