They are literally getting two solid prospects a first, a second, and a third. That is more than enough pieces for the sharks to make this trade affordable for the Oilers. Jack Campbell if anything will help the sharks in their goal of being bad and with the big pieces they are receiving I don’t perceive how Campbell being in this trade is an issue.

Were it a complete sentence saying "Take 2mil off of Bouchard's contract" then sure but, as it's non-formal, the context matters more for identifying meaning. As I don't think anyone would make the claim that Bouchard is only worth 3.5mil over 8 years, I think the logical conclusion is that he's just made a minor grammatical mistake of choosing to say "of" instead of "on". I guess we'll see when/if he responds.
