Analytically, he was awful. If they only base decisions on analytics Peeke wouldn't be of interest ever.

they went after gustafsson and mccabe so i think that goes into a lot of their decisions (two of the biggest analytical darlings available). but its ignorant to solely use analytics. panthers analytically were a slightly above average team going into the playoffs, to my memory. but nothing compared to boston/toronto

Cap savings. I think he’s decent value with term on that contract. Leafs defence needs changes. Brodie out, dumba and peeke in at least gives that different look.

Gustafson and McCabe are analytic darlings. Peeke is not. Peeke is awful analytically

What has Peeke done to warrant such love? The results are awful, and his analytics are worse. What does he bring? He's big and hits? Who cares if he's hitting guys right before they score on him all the time?

they need to find a compliment to rielly because he was the only guy that showed up in the playoffs. a 1 for 1 swap of dumba for brodie could work. dumba would be a great option

So why would the leafs want him? How does he cost Brodie and a 1st? Brodie is analytically awesome, and the results have been very good in TO as well.
