Don’t see Martinez pulling back that kind of return. A little rich on the Dorfeyev contract. 1.2 much more likely. Rather just keep Broisiot at around 2.5 and run with him and LT. That keeps enough money for Stevenson to stay, as I don’t see McPhee to let him get out of the door.

Only reason I moved Stephenson in this is because of how much that next contract is gonna cost, and the longterm cap outlook of the team when taking on Keller. Would've been able to make it work with him, but figured it was best to sell high in this imaginary scenario lol

Cap should spike by 5 million after next season, so they'll be good. Stevie's also going to be 30 so his next contract won't be too long

My concern with Brossoit is how injury prone he has been throughout his career. If not Hill, I'd like to personally see an LT and Patera combo next year. Only moved Stephenson because of long term cap implications of Keller. Martinez could bring back a 3rd and I'd be happy. Kraken just really need a D man like that and I just chalked it down to interdivision premium.

Fair. Just thought in my brain we could use that extra money to grab a younger guy we can build up further or make another splash with. Plus with the RSNs all dying, the cap might not inflate the same way.
