I like your "no panic" approach, no need to blow up the whole team after a playoff exit - but in this very weak UFA class that seems like a low contract for Bunting.

Not saying he's great, saying he's likely to get overpaid because there isn't much out there.

No need for Bunting for more than that price. I'd be happy to roll with Nick Robertson in that spot and pay O'Reilly and Schenn more. Could also find another UFA in the 2-4 mil range that would provide similar value to Bunting if Nick Roberstson isn't ready (he's been injured all year I believe).

Then you let Bunting walk, he's a good player but no difference maker
