I think its the risk you take to have some cap savings to really add key pieces while Draisaitl only makes 8.5 for the next 2 years

Signing bouch to a 2 year deal would mean we would have to end paying him more money right when drai’s deal is up and it would make harder to resign mcdavid. As for adding key pieces the salary cap will be going up a much higher amount as the seasons go by now, so that wouldn’t be a concern.

I think you can get Bouch cheaper than 5 M on a 2 year deal. At least enough to keep Foegy on the roster.
