The difference between 17OA and 28OA is a big difference. Plus the 2023 2nd of Detroit is early in the 2nd which is probably more valuable than Fraser and then Zadina/Lilj both seem like they are in the same state NHL wise. Detroits offer has much more value overall just simply because of the 1st rounder. 17 vs 28 in really good draft means you take 17 everyday of the week

Liljegren is now an established NHL rh dman on one of the best teams in the league. We put him in over vets like Gustafsson lol. Zadina can’t crack Detroits lineup.

That’s great but I’d personally rather take the Detroit trade because they have 17OA. We have two 1st round picks next year which is supposed to be a defense heavy draft and depending on the next two summers worth of moves they might have more. I’d rather take the higher pick this year to grab a center or winger that could play in the top 6 and then hopefully draft 2 guys next year that can hit top 4 next year
