I don’t think the Preds are in any position to be buying here. Don’t think they would be the team for Marner

They aren’t a full rebuild team either though. A move like this could easily put them back in the playoff picture. Why not take advantage of your stars while they are in their prime?

Unless marner can be an allstar center this doesnt do enough to make nashville a real threat. Our top offensive center novak is coming off a season he will not repeat due to his shooting % being near 20%. We just dont have a real 1C unless we get lucky with parssinen or glass. Just too much to give up for a winger given the current state of the team. Then there are the cap implications with having almost 27 million tied up in wingers (duchene, forsberg, marner)
