Toews isn't going back. Best thing for Bedard, and the franchise, is start fresh.

Toews was great, and CHI's run was unbelievable. But Bedard can't be those players, that team, in that generation. Time to move on and hope Bedard can get them back to a place where they can win consistently.

I understand your point of view, it will most likely go as you said. I'm not sure what CHI will do this summer, they will most likely get FA interest, since it's Chicago and people will want to play with Bedard, but they won't make the playoffs that's almost certain. It will be an interesting summer for sure!

Will definitely get some FA interest. Couple guys could take 1 year prove it deals and hope to catch fire as a running mate. Wouldn't be surprised to see someone like Bunting end up there.
