Andersen could probably get more on the open market, and I think the Canes would be better served moving on from him anyways.

Love Nino, but he doesn't really fit what we should be looking for in a top 6 winger rn. And we probably move on from Andersen, plus he'd probably get more in FA.

I can definitely see that but I'm not super thrilled about any of the other goalies who are going to hit the open market this off-season.

I don't think that the hurricane's current top six (even without injuries) has enough juice to win a cup because of a lack of goal-scoring from the top six and that's something that a Nino Niederreiter might solve

I really hope most of the signings and trade don’t happen.

Patches, ghost and Andersen shouldn’t get those deals

I mean Ghost has been a very very good defenseman and that's probably what he'll get on the Open Market. I didn't know how to value Patches after his Injuries... I think he'll get something in the $3-7m range and we need the scoring that he provides. Andersen was the toughest one to bring back but who are you going to replace him with?

Ghost has been absent so im not sure where we are getting very very good from. Add in ghost gets the best matchups and still has a below 50% GF% and gives up more HD chances than creates by close to double per 60. Add in he has contributed very little offense. He should be treated like TDA and allowed to walk after the season because he is PP specialist. We shouldn’t spend 4.5 million for a 3LD either.

Patches will get and should get a 1 year deal. Little chance his deal tops 5 million. Most of that 5 million would be performance bonus money. GMs do dumb things but I don’t see one dumb enough to guarantee him 15 million after 2 achilles surgeries.

Andersen has been hurt a ton and has played poorly this season. Why give him that much guaranteed?

Puljujarvi should get s 1 year league minimum deal. His play has been poor. Why should Lajoie get 3 years and a million per? He is a fringe nhl defender

Andersen is still a very good goalie but has just had a rought season... so i still think he should get the benefit of the doubt
Give Puljujarvi time to develop in the canes system
Ghost is a much better d-man than TDA because he can actually play defense and he also works very well with Chatfield
I misclicked three instead of one for Patches but I agree on second though that $5m is way too much for him... maybe instead something in the $1-3m range
