Yeah that's fair, he's the type of player we need. Leadership, physicality and really good defensively. I see him on the move a bunch in Minny AGMs and with the tight cap he could be a casualty.

I definitely feel that. I honestly just didn't want to go and sign the best goalie out there as I'm sure it wouldn't be an option for us. Hill would be my first choice but he might get some food offers from competitive teams. I actually feel like Stolarz is quite underrated and has put together a couple nice seasons in Anaheim with a very mediocre defence in front of him.
I get what you mean by Fabbro as well and again this is assuming all the better options aren't quite available to us. My first choice would be Tanev and then Pionk but I feel like both of those players aren't available, Tanev maybe. Ideally we find a good partner for Edvinsson but unless we overpay I don't think any of the free agents will target Detroit right now. He's also young enough to grow and develop. Pairing him with Maatta I think could help that. I would still be looking to draft and develop someone who could potentially replace him if needed but again he is young enough to develop into the player we want and be with the team long enough.
