By doing this, Vancouver deepens their prospect pool and get's Boeser's contract off the books. They don't need Blackwood though, with Martin and Silovs staying with the organization next year. Both have proven to be good as backups at the NHL level, and are both thriving in Abbotsford.

The Devils have no need to do this. They will do everything they can to get Timo Meier signed, so they'll have him at right wing, possibly Bratt who could play there, Dawson Mercer, Alexander Holtz in the wings .. trading those pieces for Boeser and his money doesn't make sense.

Blackwood is a toss-up at this point still. McLeod is a face-off wizard and would need to be replaced with a face-off competent centerman for the bottom six. And then why trade those other two guys, Bahl and Foote, when the money needs to be saved for Meier anyway?!

They need CHEAP roster players to fill out the bottom 6. Not boeser who wouldn't play over Meier Bratt Mercer or Palat on the wing, + holtz yegor tatar who will cost probably as much combined as Boeser does. And boeser isn't a bottom 6 player

I don't have interest in Boeser. Not that I think he's bad or anything, but right now, they're bloated on contracts thanks to that Palat deal and trying to get Meier and Bratt to fit on the payroll won't leave any wiggle room. They're probably already shedding Wood and Severson in the offseason just to make things fit.
