It will be a RD either Reinbacher or Sandin Pellikka. It just makes too much sense after trading away Hronek and either of those players would make an excellent pair with Edvinsson on the 2nd pair.

I can't deny Michkov should be 2nd overall, but aside from having to wait a few years, Russian players can be difficult to judge playing in the KHL. Some are absolute studs in the KHL, duds in the NHL, and studs when they go back. Michkov really is good, but Fantilli is a C, so I'd go that route.

Obviously it would fantastic to add either Reinbacher or Pellikka, but neither of them would be higher than on the 2nd pair. We have Söderblom, Mazur, Hanas, Berggren, Buchelnikov, Rasmussen, Lombardi…Etc. Good prospects, but none of them are Elite. If a guy like Michkov starts falling, Stevie trade up! Maybe you are right we’ll see.

The thing is , it’s always easier to get wingers in free agency and thru trade

Agreed. Michkov may also be the best winger for a decade too. I'm team Fantilli at 2.

Wingers are also usually a product of their center. Very few wingers drive or control the play...really only elite of the elite, maybe a dozen or less in the league now. A good center can do that. There are dozens that drive and control play. Wingers are complementary. I'd rather go for a great 1C than an elite winger. Just my preference.
