Description

Flames sell high on Toffoli to get a promising young player who hasn't really panned out so far in his career, but still has a lot of potential. NYI gets a good winger to play with Barzal, and they have the cap space in the season after 2023-2024 to re-sign him if he fits thanks to Bailey's contract expiring. Clutterbuck is just to send some salary back.

Flames can keep Toffoli. Islanders already have too many RW/C even with Wahlstrom being injured. Barzal will play on the wing with Horvat. Also, no need to give you a first for a 30+-year-old winger, who is having a career year.

re-signing
2nd isles aren’t interested in moving another 1st plus a promising young player at an already full position for an overperforming 30+yo
