Not really trolling, more just having some fun, this is definitely not a serious post or anything. Just thought it would be cool to keep Kaner and Tarasenko, Troubas big cap hit had to go for that to happen, so I thought it would be kinda fun to replace the current captain with an old one. I know the rangers would never trade Trouba for that kind of return.

Definitely very unlikely, just having some fun. I think the Rangers will probably try to hold onto Tarasenko or Kane, but I highly doubt they can keep both without a couple of people taking some pretty team friendly deals.

Honestly I don't see any of them being a NYR after this season. Maybe if they win Kane could take a super friendly deal aka P. Bergeron, but even then I find it unlikely.

But we will see right? Playing around with ideas and having fun meanwhile 😀

NSH probably would not want to retain money but they might for a trade like this, and NYR would not trade their captain. It was just a way to make the salaries work for Kane and Tarasenko to stick around and for a McDonagh NYR reunion, it’s nothing serious. The hypothetical trade would never really happen

Trouba? The captain? gotta be a troll. The return is also bad. Trouba is a huge hitter who brings massive energy to the team and Mcdonagh is a 2nd pair dman at best at this point in his career
