I also would be warry about that Robertson trade. He's had a lot of injuries. Think I'd just keep McMicahel.

I mean probably not honestly... in theory the caps would be taking on a "worse contract" but it's very unlikely that Ellis every plays again so you keep him on LTIR for the remainder of the contract while also upgrading a pick when you're trying to get out from another bad contract I feel like a pick would need to be coming to Philly not Washington. Even though the Ellis contract is two years longer with Philly rebuilding it could help reach the cap floor if need be.

I think the Flyers take it because Mantha is only on for 1 more year so making the trade will open the cap after this next season and he can also be a potential move during the TDL next season

I like schmaltz but as others have said with that kind of package would rather target ehlers or keller -- still think schmaltz could be had for relatively cheap given how much money he's owed

stick with the higher positional value and the guy you know in mcmichael over robertson

hoglander would be a good pickup, don't know if that's enough

would be super risky to take back ellis given he still wants to come back and play i'm pretty sure

Could essentially imo have the same amount of impact sandin has had but a lot better defensively. He has played really well. That left side is so strong.
