Fine with all of this, personnel wise, except Kerfoot, hard pass on him. Values are off though - too much for Dumba, Hellberg and Lindstrom

Not a dumba guy myself. Paying a guy like kerfoot 4 million but not giving him a role is a disaster. He's the 3rd center or why sign him. I don't think Suter is worth that much money. I like barbashev but it's another stop gap at 4 million dollars. He's not a #2 center it's just signing Copp all over again.

With what's available on the market and the need for a top 4 RHD, I don't hate Dumba as long as the AAV and term are right (5.5x4 MAX)... as for Suter, I think it's too much as well, but on a 1 year deal, I'd be fine with paying him a little more with his versatility

I agree the class at Rd blows and if dumba came in at a decent price sure I just think him, severson too probably get inflated deals due to the market. I'd rather chance a guy like Clifton being for real or patch the hole for a season with Holl or Shattenkirk than pay dumba too much. Suter is fine we just know what he is and it isn't 3 million dollars.

We're in lockstep on Clifton, he's my low-key top target in FA. I would like Schenn a lot, but I suspect the year he had is going to inflate his his AAV and term more than the 2x1.25 it probably should be... Holl or Shattenkirk I could live with if it's 2 years or less at a low AAV, but I don't like either of them and would consider them just 3rd pairing rotation guys with Lindstrom.

Dumba and Klingberg are my high risk - high reward guys, but the likely term and/or AAV on both likely takes them out of the equation.

If they don't think edvinsson is going to be here then then klingberg makes a lot of sense. They desperately need to fill the Hronek sized hole on the pp because Walman isn't it.

I love Walman on the PP personally. I think they need to reimagine the PP as a whole, as the system they're running doesn't fit their personnel. They really need someone who can create a PP system around our strengths and weaknesses and not just recycle ones that other teams are using and expect our guys to execute it. The definition of insanity is trying the same thing and expecting different results.

If you just want Walman on the wall gunning the puck at the net then ok but he can't distribute the puck which is what our current pp needs that dman to do. I do agree the pp needs some reimagining.

Well I guess we'll see what they do since our big swede Edvinsson is called up now.
