I think they is Ranger fan dream that those two players get traded. With their M NTC....15 no team list, it's easy for those players to eliminate teams with cap (generally bad teams) to be traded. Other teams near the cap can't afford them or want them at their cap.

I think they are movable but it won't be any return to talk about. Maybe send like a 3-4 M contract back on Trouba and 2-3 M coming back on Kreider.

You're certainly no idiot sir. But let's say they is retention of 3.5m on Trouba, that saves the Rangers 4.5m.....well not really, because Trouba would have to be replaced in the lineup. So the really saving is really just 3.5m if he's replaced by a 1m player. You are correct with the very limited teams that might even make a trade and are on the players trade list, the return would be so minimal, hey the Rangers might even have to give up a sweetener....Rangers might have no choice.

I don't know, he is a glue guy. Can play up and down the lineup. Never complains etc. I much rather find a way to keep him 😌

I like the premise of a younger, cheaper 3C if Chytil needs to go, but there may be a better deal.

If there's any chance of keeping Chytil, think Goodrow's contract needs to go...he's the most replaceable.

Kreider not likely to go, still bringing good value with speed, leadership, and net front presence.

Trouba is one of the top open ice hitters in the NHL, and one of the few Ranger players that sets a tone physically. I wish his contract was more in the $6M range, but don't think he's going anywhere.
