23 NHL draft. (based on Tankathon simulator not my hopes lol)
1st OA Connor Bedard RHC
26th OA Kohen Zeimmer RW
34th OA Michael Hrabal G
24 Draft (way to early to be accurate but this would fill needs)
5th OA Adam Jiricek RD
29th OA Niilopekka Muhonen LD
37th OA Matthew Little RHC
Sharks Sign Nylander or one of the top RW FA, to go along with Pacioretty and Andersen from 2023 offseason.
sharks would now have a solid forward group with a nice mix of vets, guys in their prime and and youth.
Add in prospects like Zeimmer, Bystedt, Lund, Gushin, Robins, Coe, etc. all pushing to improve and fight for a spot with the big club and the sharks are suddenly deep with answers to any future FA losses, as well as a nice arsenal to utilize in trades if needed (though I want to build through the draft not FA/ Trades)
D would be much stronger too with Mukhamadulin and Thurn gaining experience as well as Ferraro and Knyzhov. Fabbro was a top 4 D last year and is havign a down year this year but is only 24 and with Quinn could rebound nicely.
D prospects were a HUGE weakness, now is looking like a strength with Jiricek, Laroque, Havelid, Muhonen, Furlong, Fisher etc. all gaining valuable experience in the minors and soon to be fighting for roster spots.
Net is a little iffy with an aging vet in Andersen holding the fort till the kids are ready.
Hrabal to me would be the apparent heir, to go along with Makiniemi, Chrona, Mann, and Gaudreau. who all look like backup/ 1B options, still sharks have a solid group to work with.
Benning probably isn't getting traded, and certainly not for a 3rd.

Dude Benning's Value is way higher than that. No reason to trade him unless there's a very good return.
With Fabbro trade giving the sharks a possibly solid top 4D (if he returns and Knyzhov stays healthy) I just felt Benning was expendable and rather than ask a ton i went with a weaker return to set the lineup. you all could be right and we get a 2nd + but his return wasn't really taken into consideration here, more looking at what we have/ could set up.
The thought of Pacioretty on this team is just awful.
Hes been such a good player (excluding this year and the injuries) and its only a 3 year deal to give prospects like Bysted Lund and Coe time to mature.
the hope is he could be a vet leader and mentor for the guys like Pavelski was/is for DAL.
Honestly I don't see any of the top FA looking at the sharks so I went with a guy who is good but coming of injuries and could be had for less than full price (no injury this year I think he could have gotten 4-5 years 7+) Its just me trying to think outside the box a little. and fits Grier's style (think Benning and Nutivaara one worked great the other not so much but hes looking for bargains)
