Cause neither of zadina or kubalik (+ its widely known yzerman is shoping zadina) will be on the wing on the top 3 lines over those wingers and fabbri on the 4th which leaves one spot . Leaves one spot and thought it be more beneficial to have someone who can actually be physically and gritty over another skilled winger. Thought if we had bedard in this scenario would be nice to have a reaves so no one would try and intimidate bedard

Trading Zadina isn’t a problem but flipping him for another underperforming winter is odd. Trading Kubalik makes no sense unless it’s part of a deal to add a major asset at centre or RHD.

You’ll be dissapointed then if dealt zadina and saw the return cause nothing we get will be good for him at this rate. Kubalik played a bunch of games on the 4th line this season and has one more yr left on his deal , he wont fetch a major asset at center or rd. Dont think we’d need to get a c if those 4 above are our centers with rasmussen and copp also able to play there.

A 3rd for Zadina is fine. A 3rd for Kubalik isn’t. He’s had a decent season and we have no reason to trade him when there are better candidates to move out.

For 3 million you could probably sign Connor Clifton. For 4 million you might be able to get Scott Mayfield. I like Schenn, but I like him for half of what you signed him for.

I would trade Zadina and Fabbri before Kubalik without hesitation. Perron isn’t a long term solution and he’s an older player who may not even want to return. Copp will ideally be the 3rd line centre.

Kubalik is 110% gone after next season anyways . I know zadina pretty much a bust but considering he missed almost the whole season id like to see him on the team from game 1 and then if he must deal him by the deadline ok. I cant see yzerman dealing fabbri atm. Got zero problems dealing perron id have dealt him at the deadline but for whatever reason hes still here till next deadline day.

As for copp in this scenario with bedard i cant see us wasting a top pick on kasper and putting him at wing . Ok maybe the first season they’d let him play wing while he adjusts to the nhl but id have zero problem putting him at 3c to start. Think copp will eventually be a full time winger at some point
