Description

With the 7-3-1, if we trade a D before Expansion Draft we should loose one of Dorsett, Gaunce, Boucher, Magna, Camarossa, or Chaput. The line-up is only to keep Rasmussen/Glass and Foote/Hague for 9 or more games working with NHL training staff, and have prospects in AHL show a need to send them to juniors or risk loosing 4th liners on waivers. I assume Virtanen, Kane and Rasmussen/Glass would have respect for Iginla and follow his leadership on how to play right as a physical first liner. Only play Garteig middle game of 3 in 4 nights.

Id really only be interested in the kane trade if heiskenen was on the board at 5. I like what kane brings, there isnt much appeal to that trade if heiskenen is off the board

This is what started as the guys at work talking about Tanev for Kane before the Expansion Draft, which doesn't make sence because we would just loose a forward instead. Kane is 25 yo, and Linden still wants wins to sell tickets.

Sabres might take that deal, especially if we swap #8 for #5 pick!! Subban is a nice prospect, and there is familiarity with Sutter & Botterill from Pittsburgh. Both teams benefit here, and I like this deal alot for the Sabres. The best part is it pretty much guarantees the Sabres to draft either Heiskenan or Makar with the 5th pick. We give up Kane, which sucks, but we get 2 very good defensive prospects in return in Subban and Makar/Heiskanen.

As a Sabres fan i love this deal it makes perfect sense I would like to see more on the Buffalo side to even out the deal though. So maybe we include our second round pick?
