I dont think the points are a big sticking point. I wouldnt be surprised to see Lafferty with less points get better value as he's a better asset for a cup contender in the bottom 6 that kills penalties. Domi doesnt do much at 5on5. Hes getting all his points on the PP in Chicago

For WPG that 2nd year is a bonus, but I guess NSH also needed that trade just as much. I think Domi gets a 2nd and Lafferty a 2nd or 3rd. I do wonder though if they go for a bit more now with Lafferty having the super cheap contract, and Domi putting up a lot more points. He might be a 2nd+3rd with retention. For Domi and JVR, I do think points are a sticking point but not for Lafferty and for Barbashev it isn't a huge deal either.
