LOL @ thinking the Kings will give up a 1st round pick for rental Jarry after they said that pick was a dealbreaker for Chychrun.

Chychrun doesn’t even help them. A goalie would. Quick and Copley aren’t good enough as a tandem to get the Kings out of the west.

Kings are not going to carry 3 goalies on their roster. Chychrun can help solidify their defense which in turn can help out the goaltending

LHD is the Kings single biggest position of need. Even more-so than goaltending.

The Kings have already said that they're not interested in a rental goaltender and will look for a long-term option in the offseason.

Chychrun is an offensive defenseman. That’s not going to help. If they are going for a LHD then Gavrikov or McCabe.

What? LA currently has Anderson, Bjornfot, and Edler as LHD options, none of which provide any offense. They are looking for an offensive LHD so they can move Durzi back to 3RD where he belongs.

Respectfully, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Considering 2/3 of the league have allowed less goals… I wouldn’t be bragging about my blueline but you do you.

Check the stats since January 1. The Kings had a rough start to the season, but they have solidified things since then.

There's more to a successful defense than the 6 guys with a "D" next to their name in the lineup. 18 skaters need to play defense every night. I wouldn't expect a Pittsburgh fan to understand that though.

As someone who’s watched the game for 32 years, your team is a one and done team most likely. You don’t win cups when you can’t keep the puck out of your net because your goalies are mediocre and team defense is as well. As a pens fan I get that considering we’ve won 5 cups.

Well I have you beat by 8 years then.

I think the Kings are a safe bet for the Conference Final this year. They would have made it that far last year if Doughty and Arvidsson didn't miss the entire postseason, and they've only improved the team this season.

If the Kings were able to draft Crosby and Malkin in back-to-back years, I bet the Kings would have won 3+ cups too, regardless of how poor they were defensively.

If winning was so easy why don’t the Oilers have a single cup yet when they have the Crosby and Malkin of this generation?

Because their GMs have been completely incompetent.

Yep, which is why it takes more than superstars to win. You need a goalie for one as you should know when Quick was at his best. Flower was a huge part of the 3 cups we won. Murray also was very important. Rarely can a team win with subpar goalies. The Avs were so loaded all over than they could get by with an average goalie, but that’s very rare.

Every Pittsburgh team that has won the Cup has won with the best player from their generation on their roster. Every LA team that has won the Cup has won with zero generational players on their roster. The Kings know how to build a contender. They're doing just fine.

Quick was the reason the Kings won their first Cup. He was not the reason why the Kings won their second Cup.

Copley is doing just fine in goal for the Kings. If they stay healthy, they'll have no problems getting by Edmonton, Seattle, and Vegas. Beating the team to come out of the Central will be tougher, but doable. I concede that I don't see how they'll win against the Eastern Conference Champs this season, especially if it's Buffalo.

Buffalo? I doubt they even make the playoffs. Vegas has the most complete team in your division as of now.
