I don't think Detroit would do this when Carolina has more valuable guys. I would say Bean or Hanifin for Nyquist or Tatar is more likely. Fleury is the lower end of the D prospects IMO. I think Detroit would want Bean.

I'm specifically interested in understanding what Nyquist can get in a trade. Previously, I got CAR in on a Larkin + Nyquist for Hanifin deal. Canes fans said Hanifin won't be leaving unless there's equally young talent coming back, and I'm not looking to move Larkin in this deal.

Call me crazy but I feel that Nyquist by himself nets a A-/B+ prospect and a 2nd/3rd round pick. Personally, I'd be looking for a forward prospect and a juicy pick for Nyquist (especially if we go defense in the first round this year). If we're talking CAR specifically I'd be elated with something like Nicolas Roy + one of their 2017 3rds.

Carolina's fans on here have told me they'd love Nyquist as they have an immediate need for RW as well.

Honestly, Nyquist floats and other teams see that. If Kenny can swing him for a D that would be great but I am not holding out hope, think Tatar is a better candidate if it happens. If a team comes in for Nyquist they only have him for 2 more years with a big juicy NTC attached to him meaning he could walk for nothing in return.
