How do Robertson and Lisowsky have negative values? I can see an argument between ZAR and Kerfoot even though I disagree with it. But how is an 18-year-old prospect that doesn't take up an NHL slot right now and Robertson possibly have negative value...
Collectively those guys have negative value to ARZ:
ZAR is an old lge minimum, 4th liner, expiring UFA with no value, other than taking on a contract, but what does ARZ get from 20 some games of ZAR?
Kerfoot is a 3.5 expiring UFA, playing rather average, that is included to make the cap work FOR Toronto
Lisopwsky is a 7th round draft choice, 218th, so how does he have any value, ARZ would have had 7-8 chances to draft him last yr and didn;t.
Robertson does havesome value, but not sure what it is. A high in the round 3rd maybe? Hes a small offensive player whos just had a second year where he didnt produce, often a healthy scratch, and suffered yet another injury, (his 4th or 5th medium-large injury in his career). So I'm unsure his value is what his draft position was.
So collectively those 4 offer nothing to the deal, so why would ARZ want them, so how do they have POSITIVE value? Even Lisowsky and Robertson alone have negligible value so I dont think they offset the other negative pieces, when ARZ is adding value to the deal.
Again this is a case of Leaf fans just throwing stuff in, disguised as value, with little thought that there are TWO parties involved in the negotiations.
