Probably dumb but was trying to think outside the box a bit. Obviously feel free to rip this apart. Anyway, here goes...

It's a strange thought that I had, where a team acquires and then flips Puljujarvi, along with another player of value, for an increased return on the full package. Obviously that team would need to be willing to use a retention slot and potentially part with a small asset to get JP in the first place. Perhaps it's worth it for them though.

This could also go through Anaheim with Henrique in place of Barbashev. Or maybe Montreal with Monahan or Philly with Hayes (although the cap then potentially becomes an issue with those guys). Basically any team that's willing to burn a low pick for JP to flip him along with another asset for an increased return.

Still no bonified high end 2C in the lineup here, but lots of depth up front and a top notch D when healthy.
