Careful Larkining will tell you that dallas needs LD not RD. I would do that all day but no way Dallas gives up 2 firsts a second and Hintz. Way too much. Do the 3OA, Kari and Hintz and that makes it a lot less one sided and I would do that trade still.

Way too much for Dallas to give up, they'd probably rather a year of Lehtonen than five of Ericsson, plus Tanev isn't worth the number three overall plus the Anaheim pick and a second. I think Ericsson and Tanev for Lehtonen and the Anaheim pick and two second's. That Eriksson contract is way worse than Lehtonen's and Tanev is good, but not number three overall good. Maybe this isn't fair, but I don't think I'm being biased, maybe lose one of the second's and add the rights to Nichushkin, but I'm not sure.

DAL is putting a lot of stock and risk into two veteran players. Eriksson had a terrible season after a big UFA deal. How much does he have left? I'd feel a little better, if I were DAL, taking back another, lesser but productive roster player, like Granlund or a prospect that needs a fresh start like Virtanen.

Vancouver would love something like that. To keep that 3rd overall pick in the trade I would include Granlund or Virtanen. If that didnt entice Dallas.. as a Van fan I would still do a Tanev & Eriksson for Lehtonen, Hintz, 29th overall and a second round pick and they could keep their high first round pick. 3rd overall is big thing i realised that. I took away Hintz and 2nd round pick. Now its more balanced!

I feel like VAN wins this trade by a mile
