Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Starting a simulation for NYR 2023 Roster.
This was built under the restriction of the Salary cap only going up one million.
This was done pre trade deadline to the 2022-2023 Season.
Ideally, I wanted to leave cap space space for the 2023-2024 Season's Trade deadline, while being realistic on the future of the organization.
This roster did not consider anything with our AHL affiliate the Hartford Wolf Pack, the focus is purely on the NHL Roster and its future.

I'd like to point out I am unhappy with this roster, and am actively trying to find solutions to my Rangers issue.

Definitely a tough spot. I think lafreniere and Miller will both get more than 2 million, making it even tougher. Then the year after this, kakko, Lindgren and Schneider all need new contracts. I dont envy the rangers capologists job getting it all to fit.

Miller will definitely get more than 2million. Honestly he would probably get 6-7mil per year on the open market. Going to be a tough spot for the Rangers. Have to wonder if they move someone out to create the space.

He doesn't go to Open Market, he is still an RFA and is Arbitration ineligible. While I agree he would absolutely get more than 2 million and absolutely should, given his level of play, It be difficult to offer him anymore than 3 million and be able to make moves at the next deadline. I truthfully see him signing a deal a deal worth around 3 million, similar to Ryan Lindgren. With the cap constraints around the league I don't know of any contending teams that could extend him a qualifying offer.
