Description
Even during the struggles early this year I supported Lav but he is ruining this team the way he is making his lines. The reason mantha can’t do anything is cause he plays bad or doesn’t score and he gets scratched or put on the 4th line and now he put Kuzy on the 4th line cause he has been off his game, u don’t do that with star players. U maybe put them somewhere else but u don’t bury them. WHY is kubel on a line with Ovi that is the dumbest f**king place u could put him why would u give Ovi a terrible linemate. His lines are awful and he favors the wrong players and he doesn’t know how to deal with star players who r having a bad stretch. Why has he not put Kuzy Ovi and Wilson back together they were dominant last year and he hasn’t even tried them. Oshie and Backstrom have chemistry and showed it when they were together and then he split them up. He needs to set good lines and stick with them unless he needs to make slight adjustments to either wake the team up or motivate a player I liked him for a while but the sh*t he is doing now makes me want to pick a different team I just can’t deal with him doing this it’s the worst thing he could do as a coach

The lines last night were perfect. Once everyone is back to speed I’d go:

Ovi - Strome - Wilson
Milano - Kuzy - Mantha
Sheary - Backy - Osh
Mojo - Dowd - Hathaway

Could flip Milano, Mantha, or sheary between those three spots. Could also keep shears up top.

I don’t mind those but I would switch Milano and Sheary. I was complying last night cause Kuzy was playing on the forth line and Kubel with with Ovi

While I certainly agree with you on most stuff, after the game, Lavy was asked about the lines. He stated that on this back to back, they were trying to get speed on all 4 lines. Doesn't matter about the line number, but wanted to focus on speed throughout the lineup. And honestly, I don't disagree with that, especially on a very difficult back to back. To prove he was actually forming up lines the way he said he was, Kuzy had the 2nd highest ice time. And actually played pretty well.

As far as NAK, Lavy stated he wanted someone physical (and fresh) to come in and win board battles for the top players. And honestly, again, I think NAK did a fantastic job last night. Yes, it could have been Wilson, but I think it is pretty prevalent that the team is trying to ease Wilson back in.

While I agree with you that lines should be better (see above - either option), I somewhat understand Lavy's points. I do wish lines would be set for a few games and stay set to develop chemistry (see December where lines were set and the team was humming)

They should have won the game last night they played well 1stvperiod but when the wild tied it in the 2nd it looked like they lost everything and didn’t get it back, that can’t happen with a veteran team

Agreed, would love to keep the lines for 5 games or so once everyone is healthy. Just fill Eller in for Dowd at 4C.

Caps dominated the game, MoneyPuck gave us like a 94% chance to win. Just didn’t get the bounced and Lindgren couldn’t fight off the screens on all 3 goals.
