Los Angeles isn't trading Matt Roy for a bottom-pairing defenseman (especially a right-handed one) and backup goalie at the trade deadline, in the off-season, or ever.

This makes the Bruins considerably worse imo. Roy is not worth that upgrade. You dont want to have to 100% rely on Ullmark. He is great, but you do not want an injury to force you to start DiPietro. And the Bruins are better off shipping a 1st for the RD or depth rather than downgrading from Coyle to Dvorak. I get it for cap reasons, but that is a move for the summer, not TDL

Paying a 1st and a 3rd to downgrade from Coyle to Dvorak to save 700k is just plain stupid. Thankfully Coyle saves you with his NTC and says….nah.

I can see some move with swayman leaving since they might have to pay him more than there comfortable with but I think it's an off-season problem though.
