Therefor for the context of this post, Vic would have been traded anytime from right now until 23/24 opening night. Dont think to hard about it though, dont want you to hurt yourself

Any player in the final year of their contract without RFA rights is a rental. If we're that interested in Olafsson, we can wait until the off-season and sign him for free. We're not moving out draft capital for players unless they have term or RFA rights. Ducks aren't buying pending UFAs with draft capital.
