Not for lack of creativity, but CGY won't take that deal. Quick has an incredible resume, but Tkachuk isn't moving, especially for goalie. CGY isn't looking to acquire a long-term goalie option (Quick) since they believe the pipeline is strong for an internal starting candidate within 2-4 years (Gillies, Rittich, Parsons). Plus, goalie market is broadly open right now and there aren't as many buyers as there are sellers, so CGY could spend much less, improve in net, and retain Tkachuk.
I will also add that Quick's lower-body injury history is very troubling for any team looking to trade for him.
