Retention was the only way the trade could be approved by the registry at this point in the season because of the Star's cap space, but honestly, I think the canucks would retain $1M on Boeser to get the 2nd.

Maybe add something of value going back to VAN? Boeser should easily get you a 2nd without retention, add another smaller asset if you're retaining as well.

Bo would make Stars a serious contender.

Canucks either need to take someone like Faska and Doby but Dallas also has to add a pick. Like a 24 second.

Boeser in that stars top 6 might be just what they need to be legit contender.

Only if he plays his best form. I said it in other trade threads, Boeser is a big risk. I do happen to think that Dallas under DeBoer might be a good place for him to gain his confidence back.
