    You need to field at least 21 players per NHL rules. You have to fill 4 lines for forwards. Alzner is going to need $5M or more to go to a weaker (non cup team) but the Hurricanes have plenty of space so no problem. For that reason also, they should sign some other valuable assets such as Sam Gagner for $3M per year at Center.

    I just did the core. rest of the players will be prospects
