The 1st here basically covers all that retention, so add in the leading Norris candidate for POJ and Kapanen, not going to happen. I just don’t see San Jose even offering to retain that much. I see $2.5 mil with another team like Arizona taking $1.5 mil to make the aav $7.5 mil which is more than reasonable for his play. But San Jose doesn’t have to move him, so they aren’t settling likely in a trade.
