NSH might be willing to trade Fabbro but it's going to be for a forward (probably) who can help them fill some need that they have.

I like Fabbro as a target. I could see Ottawa getting a deal done. Retain 50% of Hamonic and add a pick and/or a prospect.
But it all comes down to Zub. If they can't extend him and DON'T acquire a young RHD with legit top 4 skills this team sinks even lower next season.

Nah. NSH needs RD more than anything. Any team that doesn’t give us a replacement along with picks and prospects for Fabbro is probably out of contention to get him. I still doubt they move Fabbro at all though. I just don’t see it happening

Ah okay, well either way it's going to have to be someone who's at least filling some need. Maybe a less valuable defensive guy so that they can get futures on top as you suggested.

Thomson being a prospect (not sure about his value) and Fabbro being young but not very established, it is going to be a 1 for 1 at best, possibly Thomson could be more valuable. As for Fabbro I don't see the Leafs giving Holl for.

Fabbro is pretty established. This is his 4th year in the top 4. Thomson isn’t worth all that’s much compared to Fabbro, so I’d do Thomson + a 1/2 round pick. Fabbro for Holl, a 1st, and a 3rd is something that I’ve seen on here, and that seems reasonable enough.

Leafs trust Holl and he's playing big minutes for them 20+, Fabbro is averaging 16 on the season. He's not established enough for the Leafs to give up a 1st for him or even Holl+, because he won't be viewed as an upgrade.

As for Thomson, I don't know much about him, but I think if he has some decent value that Ottawa would probably go for a guy like Chychrun.
