Description

Thompson plays a fairly similar game to Bastian in terms of physicality, but actually adds more speed. Wouldn't mind giving him a look here if they decide to leave Holtz in Utica. If not Thompson or Holtz, I could also see Nolan Foote being added for his size and he has also started the year well in Utica

That’s what Tyce wants to be, but the roster opportunities force him to play more like Bastian. He’s also been in a 4th line role focused on forechecking and using his speed to wear down other teams lines. Not bad size; he’s about 6’2 and can play physical

If they’re not gonna call someone up to directly replace Bastian(Thompson, Foote, Clarke) then I think Holtz has to be the call-up. Deserves another look. Wanna stay away from Johnsson if possible

I’m predicting it will be Johnsson. He’s been their best player in Utica. I wouldn’t do it. I’d put Thompson in bc I agree he can fit in that fourth line well. But my guess is that it’ll be Johnsson.

Oh, gotcha. He has started at both 1C and 1RW, played a lot in Utica. Tyce is still a string bean though.

Hard to replace Bastian. No real like-for-like. Foote has the size, but not the skating to cycle. Would be good in front of net though.
