Description

Options. San Jose has to bite the bullet but they get assets that could be great NHLers later in Sandin and Amirov. Two 1sts and some other assets to flip at the deadline. I think it is a good deal for both teams and also with retention Karlsson becomes an asset once again. Clearly, he won't keep this pace up and now is not the time to make this trade but later in the year. And with Timo, he is an RFA, so resign or trade for some value. I'd rather they keep him and if he works out you can then trade Robertson or let Bunting go depending on contract ask.

Dude, Amirov has no value right now and frankly it would be pretty messed up to trade him anyway. And this whole "assets to flip" stuff rarely actually flies. But yeah, you're asking for two star level players with 23M in retention for a pretty meh package.

And totally agree about the Amirov thing. I'd be happy to add another first instead but I'm just assuming he is going to be perfectly fine. I certainly hope so.
