Ron Francis wants a high impact scorer for Hanifin, And i hardly call Galchenyuk a high impact scorer maybe Patches don't see Carolina accepting this.

Although unproven, Galchenyuk was a 30 g scorer 2 seasons ago, and was almost a point per game player before his injury last year. Upon returning from his injury, he played well, then found himself placed on the wing and buried down the line-up for what appeared to be no reason according to people following stats.

Not sure about the trade, but thought I would mention a few things about Galchenyuk's popular wrong reputation.

Not sure where you're hearing of this so called rumor, Because there's nothing linking Hanifin to the Habs on any of the rumor sites.

Carolina needs offense rather badly i think Francis wants someone who can put up 35/35 Pacioretty is probably more plausible here.

The Carolina trade is a huge risk for Montreal, also a bit to much for Hannifin and Lindholm.
