Oilers don't do this because they finally have an at least mediocre person in the net that they just signed... Leafs say no because they already gave up a 3rd to sign Murray and giving up further resources is a bad idea

If the Leafs wanted Campbell they would have resigned him in the first place. Probably for less than he got in edmonton and a bit less than Murray makes too.

They didn't give up a third. They got the third that is in this proposed and weird deal.

And they got a fancy seventh I believe.

Well Campbell isn’t worth 5 million. He’s a good goalie with consistency issues and injury issues. And same as Matt Murray except he has a lot more cup of experience/playoffs. He has injury problems as well but he’s home and playing for his favourite team.

Also Campbell makes too much. He’s like worth 3.5 million. At the most. Or even 4. But I wouldn’t give him 5.
