I think Hayton signs for more than that (you have the space tho so it's not a big deal), but I just don't know what Arizona is doing with him. Feels weird that it's September 1st and they're just letting a 22 year old, former 5OA pick dangle in RFA limbo, so I think you might have a shot at getting him. I'd offer a 3rd over a 5th, or maybe another close-to-NHL-ready forward like Alex Beaucage, but I think it's an interesting swing for Colorado to take as they keep auditioning for 2C of the future.
