Mr Riches: Because most of them are poor.

The Oilers just traded three draft picks to see if Calvert is their number 1 goalie in the future. Mr. C suggests the Oilers trade a first round pick for Miller. Next summer, there are potential free agent goalies who will be available and quite probably better than Miller.
