But why not take into account the market for Miller? They took offers for him at the last trade deadline and could not get what they wanted, doesn't that tell you something? They can ask whatever they want but if no one bites, they get nothing and he walks in free agency. At some point, they have to be realistic. The rumor is the Rangers offered Chytil, Lundqvist and a 1st round pick and they said no, which is their right to do so, but why on earth would the Rangers offer more than that now when instead of 2 playoff runs, they get only 1? The answer is THEY WON'T, yet Canuck fans post trades to the Rangers for more than what Drury offered last season. It's ridicules, but it happens every day, and the Canuck fans don't understand why Ranger fans simply dismiss their trade proposals. All I can say is keep dreaming I guess because you all are going to very disappointed when you see what you actually get for Miller.

your fantasies about Raty somehow having more value than Miller is ridiculous. If vancouver actually offered that trade 1 for 1 Lou would except it before Allvin got the words out. get real
One of you understands that rentals have less value than other players. The other one is pretending the idea of extending a guy into his late 30’s is an exciting opportunity I should want the isles to pursue.
I didn’t say Raty would be as good as Miller was ever. It’s very likely that Schneider won’t be as good as Miller either. It’s about the fact that young talent that is under control has very high value. It’s that simple.
