Its different in the case of Schneider because he is a right handed D, which is hard to come by in the first place, plus he has size, grit, and leadership qualities. No team is giving up a 20 year old RHD like him for any rental, no matter how many points they scored last year. It's a similar situation as Dobson for the Isles.

Lets just state the obvious first.....ALL teams would want Miller for playoff runs. I'm sure Drury would love to rent him for next years playoffs. The real question is what are teams willing to pay? The Rangers are not in the position of possibly losing Miller for nothing, the Canucks are, so they can play Russian Roulette with him and try to squeeze out every drop of value they can but risk losing him for nothing. It happens. The risk is 100% on the Canucks.
