Your trade is not a bad one. I don't know if I'd do the same. But, it's worth at least a thought. However, I have doubts about Faulk availability at this moment, cause the Hurricanes came close to playoffs spot this season. If I was their GM, I wouldn't trade him. He's the franchise player of them and a pretty much important part of the team's future. It's easier to find wingers like Rust and Hagelin than a player like Faulk. But I don't see your trade as a impossible one to be made.

If Vegas pick Fleury, I see this coming with their GM requiring to Pens retain about 1.25M of his salary. Otherwise, I think Vegas should pick Cole or Hornqvist, cause Hagelin has a higher salary than I think they want to pay either.

You can't retain salary when Vegas drafts. So them retaining salary is not going to happen. Fleury is possible the best player Vegas is going to get out of the expansion draft.

Hornqvist will be protected for sure so scratch him off of the list going to Vegas not going to happen. Cole on the other hand could be possible but at the same time do you want to draft a player with 1 year remaining and then they are going to leave or you trade them for future picks

I don't think that trade will happen but Carolina is filled with good young defenseman.
