Description

Staying under the cap was pretty hard with a 23 man roster and no ELCs. I prioritized depth a bit over star power, though this roster still has plenty of that. Both Goalies are very good, and this team could deal well with injuries. Any ways to improve while staying under the cap and not having ELCs?

Francouz over Jarry and Matt Roy over Sean Walker.

i don't think you need 2 starting goaltenders if Shesterkin is your #1. Francouz is a more than adequate backup and saves you the $500k necessary for the significant upgrade from Sean Walker to Matt Roy.

Might be the Sabres PTSD in me, but I wanted to have 2 starting goal tenders in case of injury. If Shesterkin goes down I’d feel better about this team with Jarry and Walker instead of Roy and Francouz. It is a reasonable argument to make though.
