Making you sick? Enough of the theatrics haha. OP is apparently a PHI fan as well.
Agree. Kerfoot and Holl are two good players. Holl as a 3rd RD is a solid player for 2mil and Kerfoot is an above average, speedy 3rd liner. But both are UFAs. I'm not saying theyre worth tons, but the only teams left with cap, dont necessarily want UFAs as part of their rebuild, they want some immediate help (PHI with brink, farabee out of lineup), with the ability to move them at deadline.
In the above proposal, PHI is moving a UFA to be Braun as a sideways move, while moving the redundant McEwen for the ability of Kerfoot to cover the teams LW injuries and then move at deadline. SO Philly moves a UFA RD for a UFA RD, and a redundant tough guy for 60 games of Kerfoot and hopefully a 2nd at deadline.
PHI isnt just taking these guys for no gain, and its not really a favour to TOR. Its a move TOR has to make for the cap, and its a move PHI doesnt have to make, but they benefit more
