Better to remain conservative as long as one is cap compliant than just attempt to start fireworks for the sake of that. In other words, you missed the other part of Rutherford's messaging, or you're just choosing to not mention it for the sake of dissing another fanbase
I get what you are saying......but to my mind........Rutherford is expecting Canucks fans to put their heads under the ground like an Ostrich and trust him that things will get better without making any trades to improve the team.
He has done nothing to improve the Canucks defence which is very weak and particually on the right side.
He has also pushed the Canucks over the Cap by signing Mikhayev which contradicts everything he said about the importance of finding Cap Space and going to push the Canucks against the wall to make some trades before the season starts to again get under the Cap.
